bang your drum

Does anybody know of a silent keyboard?

I have a user who sits in our cube farm. Her keystrokes can be heard throughout the entire cube farm. We have asked that she try and not use as much force with her stroke but this has been to no avail. She has worn out 3 keyboards this year alone.

I thought about and am going to try one of the flexible silicone keyboards and might even consider one of the virtual keyboards but I would really like to put a good quality, silent keyboard in as a replacement.

any suggestions?

I am a very heavy handed person and heavy footed person (just plain heavy!) some people are just like that. The heavy feet show - when I drive a car.

No amount of cajouling or reminding helps, your fingers just do the walking at the pounding they are used to. It is not aggression mind.

I hope you find someting suitable for her.

(hope the link works)

My 5 y/o loves the computer, unfortunately my ears could not stand the POUNDING that she felt she had to do to play her games. This keyboard works great. It's one of those flexible keyboards. (her computer is less then 10 feet away from mine and I can not hear a sound)

As far as quality, it's not the best but it sure is quiet

Here's a really good one: it's flexible, and (as it claims) nearly indestructible. Being quiet is just an added bonus.
