Ok so it isn't really me but close enough
Published on June 22, 2006 By just john In Home & Family
As some of you know my wife and I have been going through the invetro fertilization for a while now. They did the transfer Tuesday a week ago and the pregnancy test was yesterday. It was positive just as the six home tests my wife did were. (She is so impatient)

Wahoooo! I'm gonna be a daddy. I hope. They will do another test tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy and to give us a good idea of how many we may be having. Right now twins look strong but there is a possibility for more.

Normally I wouldn't get excited but in four tries we have never made it this far. Twice we were canceled after going almost all the way through the cycle so this is great news.

Congrats, John. That's a good thing.

Just think, you could have a ready-made family really quick! If you have three or four all at once, you'll probably be so busy that you'll be done . . .

Good luck!

How cute and funny. I guess she had to double and triple and six times check. It's just a little lima bean now maybe more than one. Congratulations! I'm so excited for you. What a big day! I can't wait to find out how many.

Congrats and best wishes! No offense, but if you don't have a uterus, you can't claim "I'm pregnant" or "we're pregnant". You have gone through a lot though and I am truly hopeful that it will be nothing but healthy pregnancy and birth for your wife. Hormones are bad enough normally but I know women who have gone through the whole invitro ordeal of injections and my heart goes out to your wife.

I can't imagine having more than one newborn at a time! My only advice, line up as much help as you can, especially for night time. You'll feel like all you're doing is feeding and changing for a while. We have friends who have had twins and they charted all the ins and outs to help. The had wall-to-wall diapers and burp cloths and permanent bags under their eyes for a while but they were very happy through it all and have a beautiful family as a result.

Best of wishes. Parenthood is the toughest job you'll ever love.

Congrats John...that is wonderful.

I don't know how anyone could have more than one at a time though....wow. Makes me tired just thinking about it. heh.

But I am sure you're up to the challenge.

Well, you may not be the one pregnant, but I am sure you will be feeling the sympathy pains. Congrats!
