It all started way before this and some of you may know all of the history and some may not. There is ten years worth of wanting that brought us to this point. I guess ten years is long enough because at ten years and one day our dream came true. Three times!

It's been ten days since I've seen or held my children. My wife's grandmother is in her final days and I could not or would not deny her all of the time she can to spend with her.

I miss my kids, I miss my wife and I miss my life. I had no idea of how much I had changed. In bed by 8 up by 4:30. Some nights with very little sleep in between. So much going undone without caring. Now, alone with so much to do.

I've tried to stay busy. I've cleared the over growth in the back yard. The house ...

It has been an extremely long week starting Sunday.

We went to visit our family with the babies last weekend. It was a relatively short trip (3.5 hours) but we had loads of help. My mother, MIL and nephew all came with. We had to take two vehicles to deliver some furniture so we had the room. Both my family and my wife's all live there so this was the first time that many of our family members would see the babies.

The trip down went better than I expected. The stay was ok. The babies see...

What a whirlwind five days it has been. The babies all came home Wednesday afternoon. We got them all home and it was a serious case of where do we start. You see...

We brought Tabitha home Saturday and we had just begun to work out some sort of routine and Wednesday they are all there. We were hoping that we would be bringing them home Friday. We hadn't purchased a van yet. We didn't get those last few items that we were missing. It was on despite all of our lack of preparation.

We got t...

Friday night we spent the night with Tabitha at the hospital. They call it the bonding room. I think it is really more of a test to see if you can make it through the night unassisted with your baby.

I guess we passed because she came home with us yesterday afternoon. (We didn't really have to do it because we visit so often but we did it just get used to the fact that we now really have children)

It is so strange because I know the usual routine. Mom goes to the hospital and mom and baby...

The babies are all doing well. Tabitha and Parrish ar over four pounds now and Chloe is right behind. They put on an ounce or two each day.

We hare still having issues with them dropping their heart rate or haveing and apnea spell but as their weight increases these symptoms should go away. Parrish and Chloe have a small heart murmer and will be checked on Monday. The neonatologist assures us that it is probably nothing to be worried about so I will take her advice because worry serves no pu...

They got together for a group photo today. From left to right Tabitha, Parrish and Chloe.

You get some reference of size here.

The girls decided to wake up for these pictures but Parrish just wouldn't wake up.

The have all had their IVs taken out(Parrish decided to take his out this morning). They are getting 19ml at each 3 hour interval feedings. Every other feeding they get an increase of 1ml. They continue to move along so quickly that it is even difficult for the doctors to ke...

Well... They are here and healthy. Just over 12 hours into their life they all appear to be doing great.

Tabitha Brooke came first at 3lbs 10ozs

Parrish John came next at 3lbs 7ozs

Chloe Rene was last and the littlest of all at 3lbs 2ozs

We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary last night and the birth of our triplets early this morning. It was all so fast. The babies came a minute apart and mom got all sutured up. Minutes later she was in recovery and ri...

When all this mess started months ago, Governor Blanco was visiting other states and placing advertising for her Louisiana Road Home Program. Tens, possibly hundreds of millions of dollars were spent touting Governor Blanco’s program to bring displaced citizens back to Louisiana. Many people, myself included, felt like this was very wrong because we face an election year in 2007. What a better way to start getting votes than to smear your name all over advertising for free money that was actuall...

Today was the first day of an eight week yoga based stress management course that my work was kind enough to enroll me in. Most people know me to be level headed and I am usually (visibly) unaffected by stress. However, I am under a great deal of stress right now so I am welcome participant.

It all starts with my worst and my best flaw. I pick my battles very carefully. There are many I choose not to fight simply because I know the outcome and refuse to try to effect change where I already kn...

Re-elected Republican Bobby Jindal has recently announced that he will possibly make a run for Governor in the state of Louisiana. He has made several public comments prior to his announcement that he is seeking funds that he was praying about whether or not he would run for Governor again.

Out of all of the Louisiana politicians yammering after the hurricanes, I believe that he alone was the one voice of reason and sanity. I think you would be hard pressed to find a more worthy opponent for ...

This update is coming to you live from Baton Rouge, LA. I am stuck down here this week taking a training class on MS SQL. I have had several new reasons to add SQL to my bag of tricks and I am really tired of having to spend an enormous amounts of time solving simple problems. I'm in day two of the class and can already see some ways that this is going to make my day to day better.

Probably the worst part of being down here is that my wife is home. She is six months and one week pregnant now....
