It's been ten days since I've seen or held my children. My wife's grandmother is in her final days and I could not or would not deny her all of the time she can to spend with her. I miss my kids, I miss my wife and I miss my life. I had no idea of how much I had changed. In bed by 8 up by 4:30. Some nights with very little sleep in between. So much going undone without caring. Now, alone with so much to do. I've tried to stay busy. I've cleared the over growth in the back yard. The hou...
What a whirlwind five days it has been. The babies all came home Wednesday afternoon. We got them all home and it was a serious case of where do we start. You see... We brought Tabitha home Saturday and we had just begun to work out some sort of routine and Wednesday they are all there. We were hoping that we would be bringing them home Friday. We hadn't purchased a van yet. We didn't get those last few items that we were missing. It was on despite all of our lack of preparation. W...
Friday night we spent the night with Tabitha at the hospital. They call it the bonding room. I think it is really more of a test to see if you can make it through the night unassisted with your baby. I guess we passed because she came home with us yesterday afternoon. (We didn't really have to do it because we visit so often but we did it just get used to the fact that we now really have children) It is so strange because I know the usual routine. Mom goes to the hospital and mom and...
The babies are all doing well. Tabitha and Parrish ar over four pounds now and Chloe is right behind. They put on an ounce or two each day. We hare still having issues with them dropping their heart rate or haveing and apnea spell but as their weight increases these symptoms should go away. Parrish and Chloe have a small heart murmer and will be checked on Monday. The neonatologist assures us that it is probably nothing to be worried about so I will take her advice because worry serves no...
Well... They are here and healthy. Just over 12 hours into their life they all appear to be doing great. Tabitha Brooke came first at 3lbs 10ozs Parrish John came next at 3lbs 7ozs Chloe Rene was last and the littlest of all at 3lbs 2ozs We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary last night and the birth of our triplets early this morning. It was all so fast. The babies came a minute apart and mom got all sutured up. Minutes later she was in recove...
This update is coming to you live from Baton Rouge, LA. I am stuck down here this week taking a training class on MS SQL. I have had several new reasons to add SQL to my bag of tricks and I am really tired of having to spend an enormous amounts of time solving simple problems. I'm in day two of the class and can already see some ways that this is going to make my day to day better. Probably the worst part of being down here is that my wife is home. She is six months and one week pregnant n...
I have been playing around with designs and hosting options on one of my sites but I am sure for those who are interested that wont matter. We know the sex of two of our babies for sure and are pretty sure about the third. It's going to be 2 boys and a girl. I couldn't be happier. Check it out Link !
What a weekend we had. Michelle and I both developed some sort of stomach type bug. Michelle got a couple of days at the resort (read: hospital) and just as she was getting released I was getting ill. We are all better (mostly) now. We did get some great news this morning that makes all of the suffering worthwhile. We heard three little hearts beating! Michelle will be 8 weeks along on Thursday so that means it is still early and things could change. At 12 weeks we can be more positive on ...
As some of you know my wife and I have been going through the invetro fertilization for a while now. They did the transfer Tuesday a week ago and the pregnancy test was yesterday. It was positive just as the six home tests my wife did were. (She is so impatient) Wahoooo! I'm gonna be a daddy. I hope. They will do another test tomorrow to confirm the pregnancy and to give us a good idea of how many we may be having. Right now twins look strong but there is a possibility for more. Normall...
Christmas used to be such a great time for me as a kid. Even as a young adult, I enjoyed Christmas. Now that I am older and married without children, it just seems to get in my way. I will celebrate one Christmas on the 17th, one on the 24th, one on the 25th and as I have just been informed one on the 30th. Normally I don't mind too much of the running around to go here or there but this year is just too much. Four family Christmases to attend. I am really unhappy about the last one th...
I think that being consistent in whatever you do is important. I am not saying change isn't good but if you take a stand, be firm. I have learned over my time on earth that you must pick your battles. If you try to fight them all you won't win very many. I stick to the things that I have a good hold on or think that my opinion is the totally correct one. I don't start many wars and I don't go looking for trouble. For the most part, I will hold something in for a while even if it is a battle I...
The details... My nephew is a very smart kid. He picks up almost anything and figures it out no matter what it is. He did the hooked on phonics course before he was in school but never really got the hang of sight reading. This should have been clue number one to his mother. He went to public school for kindergarten and then switched to private school in the first grade. He was still having problems reading in the first grade but wasn't very far behind his class. He was doing well in all of ...
I am not always the most active person, and sometimes but not often I don't get to all of my responsibilities due to a need of ass to chair time, but some people just irk me to no end. My cousin's wife and he moved back in with his parents because they were in the process of selling their home. He is joining the Air force and will go to boot camp shortly. They made arraignments for his wife to live with his parents while he went through boot camp and his schooling. They didn't make it a m...
