I often question the validity of the bible and the way it has been interpreted by man over time. It forces me to rely on faith that there is a God. I am confident that there is a God. Is that faith? Should I blindly follow the teachings without questions? Is it wrong to question?

One should never follow spiritual teaching blindly- God exhorts us "to believe not every spirit, but try the spirits to see if they are of God." This would lead us to believe that there are spirits and teachings that one should be weary of.

God does not mind us questioning spiritual truths- In fact we are told of some people (Berea) when they heard the truth of the gospel, received the word with readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 17:11

I don't think God was unhappy with the Bereans when they questioned the teaching of the Apostles. I think God wants us to do the same.... the answer to the questions are found were the people of Berea looked "searched the scriptures".

If someone tells us of the character of God, how do we know if it is trues what they tell us?

If someone tells us that God is righteous and there is no sin in Him, how are we suppose to know if they are telling us the truth about God?

There is only two ways....... either our heart conviences us or some element of written truth. The Bilble teaches us that the heart is deceitful.... We can attest to that. There are people committing actions every day that are not right but somehow they have justifed their actions in their heart.

The written truth is the only other way. How do we know God is righteous, loving and forgiving God.... the scriptures my friend. You are correct john man has twisted and changed the gospel into a socical fix it all.... The Spirit of God (The Spirit of Truth) will never mislead one in the scriptures.

I know this to be true. As long as the bible is presented in so many different ways, I think I will always have questions. I don't see an end to my questions nor do I see an end to my search.

john my friend.... I have found this to be true, "we are not searching for God, but He is searching for us". Prayerfully consider. He will open your mind to His truth if only you will receive it.
