If you want to help but want to make a difference for some of the people who might not be receiving assistance.

I hope everyone who receives this is doing well. As I watch the coverage of the devestation caused by Hurricane Katrina, I've decided to start a campaign that can make an immediate impact on the lives of those most effected.

Our Foundation has already helped familes by covering hotel costs for those who could not afford it. These families have small children and will greatly benefit from being in a hotel compared with being on a gym floor at one of the shelters.

I know there are a lot of good charitable agencies (Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc.) that will provide assistance to those on the Gulf Coast. However, I know that a lot of us get concerned with our donations getting lost in the bureacrocy of such large efforts.

For those of you who are wanting to help, but aren't sure what to do, let me give you an option. Any donation made to the David Toms Foundation will go directly to families who have evacuated the Gulf Coast. Our Foundation will do the work to ensure the money is being used in the best possible way for the most deserving families. Let me make this clear . 100% of your donations will go to the relief effort, no exceptions.

What are some examples of things we plan to accomplish with the donations? Hotel rooms, food, school supplies, clothing, etc. are just some of things we can provide. The mission statement of our Foundation is to "create hope for children". Our efforts will be geared towards families with children. This is a scary time for the children and I would like to ease their pains in any way possible.

If you would like to help, you can make a donation through our website at www.davidtoms.com mail a check to the David Toms Foundation (see address below) or call our office and give Adam your credit card information directly.

I would also like to encourage you to forward this email to your network of contacts. Check back on our website as we will update it with anecdotal stories of families we have been able to help.

Thanks in advance for your consideration,

David Toms
