I often question the validity of the bible and the way it has been interpreted by man over time. It forces me to rely on faith that there is a God. I am confident that there is a God. Is that faith? Should I blindly follow the teachings without questions? Is it wrong to question?

Yes! They finally respond in a somewhat comical way. AI seemed as though they were just going to let the claims by Cory Clark go unchecked. They, in a very tongue and cheek fashion, made him look foolish with an elaborate sketch. The punch line being Simon was in love with himself and showing special treatment to, himself. People who follow the show already know this guy is stuck to himself like glue. Bravo! If you have to defend yourself, making the other guy look like a moron is the bes...

I am all for the free exchange of thought, but please let it be intelligent thought. Recently we have had a rash of new brain dead users come on. I am somewhat new to JU. I probably have less points than most of the idiots in question. Why? Because I write about things that actually exist in the real world, not in the tiny minds of babbling psychopaths. If we all pretend they don't exist, do you think they will go away? I don't write a lot, but I do read and sometimes comment. Is it to...

My wife has been in school for what seems like forever now. She is in a five year Architecture program (the state requires a five year program to get your license). I guess that means by current standards it should take her nine years to complete. It takes that long, not because she fails classes, but because they never seem to offer the classes she needs to move to the next level in the right order. So where do I fit in... As an architecture student her responsibilities are not just in...

I have been ADD all of my life. I am Dyslexic and other learning disabilities. I have always gotten by without the use of meds. I just learned how to cope. Check and double check everything to make sure I didn't get it wrong. I still made mistakes even after all of that. I am pretty far up on the IQ scale and these problems have always held me back. I have the aptitude to learn but not he focus or the drive. I have never believed that taking a pill could make me more focused. I have alrea...

The shameless attempts at promotion are rampant here at JU. I guess I am slightly guilty of that myself. Chances are if you are reading this you were only hoping to "bump" one of your friends in the ranks. I am not sure why numbers become so important. I have been around the internet's ability to offer instant, free exchange of thoughts for a long time now. I was a hard core VP user. I was drawn in by the people, after all people are my favorite hobby. I like to observe, interact and even ...

My wife’s grandmother (whom I am very close to) got seriously ill this week and was hospitalized. Immediate reaction was to jump in the car and go. Her grandfather is old and will need some help and grandmother and family will need the support. I have very few paid days off left this year because of a broken ankle I suffered in January. I was willing to stay as long as I was needed or until my days ran out. My wife is in school and is getting close to graduation. She doesn't work. My inco...

I have watched my nephew play baseball for a few years now from the sidelines. This year I was asked to help coach the team and it has made me understand a few things. Parents get really serious about their kids sporting events. Some keep it to themselves others are vocal and find themselves in the car for the game. I never understood how they could get so irate. After all, it's only a game. My nephew plays in the most popular league in our area. They play more games than any other league...

The details... My nephew is a very smart kid. He picks up almost anything and figures it out no matter what it is. He did the hooked on phonics course before he was in school but never really got the hang of sight reading. This should have been clue number one to his mother. He went to public school for kindergarten and then switched to private school in the first grade. He was still having problems reading in the first grade but wasn't very far behind his class. He was doing well in all of ...

My family (Wife, Mom, Dad, Sister and Nephew) took a vacation to Orlando in January. My wife and mom are both architects so we went down for the international home builders show. We had a really great trip. My wife and I drove in one car and the rest of the family in another. We stopped on the way down and stayed at a hotel on the beach. It was really great to wake up to the sound of the surf. I really miss living on the coast. We finally got to our condo in Orlando and this place was great. ...

I am so unmotivated to blog. It really sounded like a fun idea when I started. I guess it's just a mood or something. I think I'll blog about my recent vacation. Next article...

Sorry for the somewhat racially insensitive title. My frustration stems from overseas outsourcing. To make a long story short, I have fired my Dell sales representative. It seemed like I got a new one every three months and the first thing the new guy always wanted to know was how much I was going to spend and when. The motive is obvious. All of their account reps are looking to progress up the corporate ladder. If you can find the right clients who need things and work them properly ... ...

I am not always the most active person, and sometimes but not often I don't get to all of my responsibilities due to a need of ass to chair time, but some people just irk me to no end. My cousin's wife and he moved back in with his parents because they were in the process of selling their home. He is joining the Air force and will go to boot camp shortly. They made arraignments for his wife to live with his parents while he went through boot camp and his schooling. They didn't make it a m...

I am pretty new to the JU community. I chatted on VP for a long time and have been around the internet and its various forms of personal communication for a very long time. I am having a really hard time understanding something though... Back when VP was cool there was the occasional argument between the regulars. People came, and they left. It was no big deal. There were a couple of people I got to know well from those grand days of chat rooms, but for the most part all of those people we...
