Since I have been BL'd by the offender here and she just can't seem to lay off the drama, I'll have to voice my opinion in my own world. The victim is at it again. I just want to know how an offender could always turn the story around to be the victim and why a few of you tolerate this behavior. "little whip" By: Trudygolightly Posted: 4/5/2006 3:07:41 PM on Trudygolightly's Corner of the World The darnest thing just happened! I typed "little whip" into the Google image thingy, and...

Yes folks (the two who read me - I may be presuming too much by saying two people read me) I am moving my blog. I have been piddling around for a month or so getting this set up but I have finally done it. If you feel so inclined you can check me out at Link . I won't stay away from JU (who could?). I'll just do my blogging over there. I like the format and I really want to do a bit of photo blogging and this format seems to be easier for me to do it the way I want to. No more point...

I would have never imagined last week when I penned this article Link that I would face death again in less than a week. I am angry (I don't know if that truly conveys the feeling) about this. I am up in arms and I don't know exactly where this is going to take me but I won’t see this sort of senselessness touch my life again. What I failed to mention in the previous article is my belief that Caleb died while playing something that has been dubbed The Choking Game. This is no game! Yeste...

Life is interesting; at least in my world. Sunday, I felt compelled to reach over to a book on the shelf in my home office and thumb right through. It was a yearbook from my junior high school. I haven't picked that thing up in ten years or more. Ok, so I have touched it when I moved or moved book shelves. I opened the cover and looked at the things people had to say about me so long ago. I thought for a second and realized that I am a different person than who I was then but at the core I...

I love going to rock shows. Small dives, big arenas or a good street performer; I love to watch great rock shows. A couple of months ago, when Photograph came out, I asked one of my vendors to see if she could get me some tickets to see Nickel Back when they were coming to town. She told me that her company (which owns the arena) has a lottery for the tickets that they give away and she would put my name in. The show is tonight. She finally called yesterday and said she had two ticket...

January 17, 2006...“We ask black people ... It's time for us to come together. It's time for us to rebuild a New Orleans — the one that should be a chocolate New Orleans, and I don’t care what people are saying Uptown or wherever they are, this city will be chocolate at the end of the day. This city will be a majority African American city. It's the way God wants it to be. You can't have New Orleans no other way. It wouldn't be New Orleans." Mayor Ray Nagin, January 16, 2006 I know Nagi...

It is finally official. Recall procedures have been started to oust Kathleen Blanco from her now disrespected post as Governor of Louisiana. Kat Landry could stand no more or this political, partisan bumbling that Blanco has done and continues to do. recallgovenorblanco.com Link Most recently notable would be the half million dollar upgrades done to the 6th floor of our state capitol. We are talking some really needed stuff here. Mounts for flat panel TV's, imported granite counter tops, ...

I have been bothered by a particular Joe User for a while and one of my recent discoveries brought an interesting question to light. Is it wrong to embellish your resume? This particular person says he was webmaster of a site (writersjournal.com) from 2002-2004 and that it was closed due to a conflict with his schedule. I know this person a little better than an HR person might but is obvious to me that this person doesn't possess the skills to be a webmaster. So I checked (Isn't that wh...

Christmas used to be such a great time for me as a kid. Even as a young adult, I enjoyed Christmas. Now that I am older and married without children, it just seems to get in my way. I will celebrate one Christmas on the 17th, one on the 24th, one on the 25th and as I have just been informed one on the 30th. Normally I don't mind too much of the running around to go here or there but this year is just too much. Four family Christmases to attend. I am really unhappy about the last one th...
